![]() However, several of their daughters married and raised families in Clinton Co. Susan married Fountain Piercey, and their children married into the Brown, Wright and Lee families. Ann Ellis married Dempsey Guthrie and from two of their daughters brought about connections with the McKinley and Hunter families. Martha Jane Ellis, another daughter of Jesse and Rebecca, married William H. Hunter, the son of S. J. Hunter, a Methodist minister, and JP of Clinton Co. Nancy Ellis married Tilford (Til) Neathery, and their children married into the Burchett, Pierce, and Talbott families. Elizabeth Ellis married Richard H. Kookendoffer.
