INFORMATION

The Teacher's Pet movie has been mentioned in two different magazines.

The first magazine is Amid's wonderful magazine Animation Blast # 8.
It has a six page interview with Teacher's Pet creator Gary Baseman and director Timothy Bjorklund.
Here is a small snippet from the interview:

Amid: Now you guys (Timothy Bjorklund and Gary Baseman)  are making a Teacher?s Pet theatrical feature which is suppose to come out this fall.  How is this big screen version going to differ from the tv series?

Gary: Well it?s a different type of story that we?re telling versus normal episodes.  It?s bigger, broader, and with musical numbers.

Tim: I hate musicals and then I end up directing one.  But the songs are actually funny.  We?re making fun of other Disney movie songs.  You know how they?re supposed to be sappy and emotional and bring heart to the story.  We?re sticking a big fork in that.

Gary: But I think that we?re able to do really well is you can?t tell if we?re being politically correct or making fun of being politically correct.  Even though we?re putting a fork in these sappy songs, there?s still a lot of heart in this movie, so you walk that fine line.

Tim: We?ve added some more depth to it, with overlays and more panning.  It?s going to be a lot richer than the little screen.

The second magazine is Entertiment Weekly: The IT List of 2002.

They named Gary Baseman as IT animator of 2002.  To see the article click on the image.
