MISSION STATEMENT

PARENTS WITHOUT PARTNERS
Is a social and educational organization which caters to the needs of the single parent family. This is accomplished by social occasions with the entire family, and also adult oriented educational discussions, parties and excursions to broaden our social horizons.

PREAMBLE TO THE CONSTITUTION OF PWP, INC.
As a conscientious single parent, it is our primary endeavor to bring our children to health, maturity , with the full sense of being loved and accepted as persons, and with the same prospects for adulthood as children who mature with two parents. From the divorce or separation which divides a family, or the loss of a parent by death, the entire family suffers, for children in such circumstances, to mature unscarred requires the utmost involved understanding and sound guidance. To provide this is a responsibility inherent in parenthood, it does not end with separation or divorce, for either parent. The single parent in our society is isolated to some degree. The difficulties of providing for both ourselves and our children a reasonable equivalence of family are increased by that isolation. The established patterns of community life lack the means of communication and institutions to help us resolve our special problems and find fulfillment. Therefore in the conviction that we can achieve this and, through working together through the exchange of ideas, mutual understanding help and companionship, which we find in one another, we have established Parents Without Partners, Inc. To further our common welfare and the well being of our children.
