| Thus named in 1822 by a Lieutenant Vidal of the British ship H.M.S.Leven, it is today a fishing and snorkling mecca, situated about 35 kilometers north of St Lucia. If you REALLY want to get away from it all, you can fish and snorkel to your heart's content and even get the chance to try out your 4x4 on the beach (permit required). Accommodation is in the form of wooden bungalows on stilts or you can bring your caravan or tent. The sand dunes are fantastic, but take a look at the pics and judge for yourself... |
