How do I get System disks for my old Mac Plus?
A
Format a couple of DD (DoublesideD) disks (not HD, High Density).
Head over to ftp://ftp.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/
and choose your language, and download the appropriate system disks,
we recommend System 5.0, 6.0.3 or 6.0.7. You cannot install System 7
unless you have a harddrive for your Plus. Copy the content of the system
disks to your DD disks and start your Plus with the System Tools disk.
