About The MSTRA
The MSTRA is an offline Macintosh racing league using Sierra's NASCAR Racing game.
The MSTRA was founded in late 1999 as an alternative to Mike Riso's Red Line Racing League, both leagues filling a void left by the demise of Bob Hall's MACAR. Rather than run the same tracks as the RLRL, the MSTRA formed a niche in Macintosh racing, offering an exclusively short-track schedule spanning from early spring to mid-fall.
Plans were forged in 2000 to introduce lower divisions of MSTRA, in addition to an ARCA series and a groundbreaking cross-platform series allowing drivers using both NASCAR Racing for Macintosh and NASCAR Racing for PC. However, due to dwindling driver participation and technical problems, these plans were shelved in order to put full focus into the 2000 Pro Stock season.
With the demise of the RLRL in mid-2000, the MSTRA expanded with four divisions in 2001: the original Short Track Series, the Dirt Challenge, and full Winston Cup and Busch Series divisions running close to the actual schedules of both divisions.

For the better part of the year, the MSTRA is managed from Troy, New York, just outside Albany... |
...and over the summer months, from scenic Bedford, New Hampshire, an hour from Loudon. |
We're glad you've chosen to race with us during our third year of competition, and hope to race with you in the future.
