TEMPORARY HOME OF "THE LONDON TUBE"
Posted by: James Roberts on 31st July 2002

Welcome Back to "The London Tube"!  We are currently experiencing more than just a few technical issues with our web hosts at this time.
This site is an EXTREMELY CUT DOWN version of the original "The London Tube" site.

There will be limited news updates on this Site.  Keep your eyes on the 'Crotrainz' forum for details of when the full site at: www.the-london-tube.co.uk is back online.
We apologise for any inconvience caused during this outage of Service.

ITEMS CURRENTLY FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY ON THIS SITE:

  • East London Line Download is available from the 'East London Line' page.

  • A limited News Service is still being provided from these pages with new screenshots and route updates.

  • Email is still being received to the address: james@the-london-tube.co.uk

ITEMS CURRENTLY NOT FUNCTIONING ON THIS SITE:

  • The Downloads of 'The Victoria Line' and 'The Beck Line' are currently not available from this site.  This will change within the next few days.

  • Recent news archives are no longer available as these are stored on the old server.

  • The forum is currently not operational from any page on this site and following the link will present you with a 403 Error page from the-london-tube.co.uk main site.

  • There are various other bugs and issues with regards to the site which you may notice and I apologize for.

Domain Technical Issues
Posted by: James Roberts on 31st July 2002

"What's happening?" Is a cry heard from so many people at the moment.  It's nice to know that people are genuinely interested in the future of "The London Tube".  I would like to thank you all for your support and can assure you that in one way or another, The London Tube will be back online within the next two to three weeks.
The reason the site is currently offline is due to a technical dispute with my domain provider over the popularity of the site.  They are concerned about the high number of visits and the so called "unlimited" bandwidth isn't as unlimited as you may think.  They also have disallowed the downloading of '.exe and .zip' files from domains.
While this technical issue is resolved, the domain transfer fee will be paid to them soon, and "The London Tube" will be under a new host in the very very near future.
