Sonic Normal

This technique may not be as famous as the 360 Degree Normal, but it's probably just as intriguing as the one. The Sonic family (I call it a family because there are a number of variations) consists of a full spin (or sometimes more than one spin) while making the pen "jump" from one finger to another. This is also a must have technique for simple and advanced combos.
Official Name: Sonic-1-123-Normal Rotations: 1.0
Requirements: none Recommendation: none
Difficulty: 1.0 Video/Animation: Sonic-1-123-Normal

Step 1 - Pressure

hold the pen as shown

1 - lock the end of the pen with the skin between the Thumb and the Index Finger

2 - to apply pressure, slightly pull the Middle Finger towards you while pushing the Ring Finger away from you

Step 2 - The Release

let the pen spin

1 - let the pen go by straightening your Thumb or moving it back

2 - following the flow of the movement, your Index and Ring finger should move away from you while the Middle Finger should bend towards you

3- Important! The tip of the pen should pass behind the Index Finger and not in front of it

Step 3 - The Spin

let the pen flow with the movement

1 - the back of the pen passes behind the Middle Finger and then in front of the Index Finger

Step 4 - The Catch

lock the pen between the 1st and 2nd fingers, so it doesn't fall

1 - fold your Index Finger and straighten your Middle Finger to finish the spin

2 - close your Thumb to catch the end of the pen
