360 Degree Normal


This is one of the most well-known manipulations around pen spinners. This technique consists on performing a complete spin around the Thumb. It is an essential technique that every pen spinner needs to know. It will be useful for learning other 360 degrees, it is required for some more advanced techniques, and it is often used to create great combos.

Step 1 - The Grip

hold the pen horizontally, as shown

1 - C.O.P. to the left of the Thumb

2 - Thumb and Index Finger are aligned

- note - the position of the other fingers are irrelevant

Step 2 - The Push

apply pressure with your Middle finger

1 - fold Middle Finger while pushing the pen

2 - open Index Finger




Step 3 - The Spin

a circular motion around the Thumb

1 - Halfway of the spin, the Thumb and the C.O.P. should be aligned

- note - during the whole movement, the Thumb should remain as still as possible

Step 4 - The Catch

don't let the pen fall

1 - fold Index Finger when the pen hits your Middle Finger
