About Pentix
Ever wondered how some people can flip their pen around their Thumb during classroom lecture? Only to try it out and become even more frustrated? Well, don't stress yourself anymore. Pentix is here to solve your problems.

Pentix is a web site dedicated to the art of "pen spinning". The objective of this page is to teach you how to spin a pen the easiest way possible.

Pen spinning is a form of contact juggling that uses a small object, like a pen or a pencil, to perform different tricks that not only sharpen your skills, but also amaze people.

- Great News!!! This site got a new web host and is moving to pentix.modenstudios.com. Thanks to David Karl at Moden Studios. Please correct all links to the new site as I won't be updating this one anymore :)

I'm sorry for all the confusion this may have caused during the last few days. I plan to stay with this new host now. Note that the Forum has not changed (as it's part of EZboard.com) and all messages are still intact. The counter, however, will not be working...

- If you have been checking the site lately, you may have found that it has been down due to the large amount of traffic it has received lately.

As a temporary solution (until I get a paid web host), I created a mirror for the site at ProHosting.com. The url is http://wind.prohosting.com/kamykaze

Please bookmark it so you can access the site from this mirror when the main site is down.

12/12/01 - Since I am currently busy preparing for my finals, this is a quick update.

Updated the Submit Information Form in the Users section. Now there's a place for everyone to share which tricks they know. This will give users a better idea about the level of skill of other pen spinners, making it more useful when asking for help or, if you prefer, making a challenge (Although I haven't heard of such a thing as Pen Spinning Tournament :)

The Forum seems to be more active again, but I still think that there could be more discussion there. Please make sure to drop a word. Every message is welcome, regardless of whether it is stupid or not, or grammatically correct.

11/26/01 - SAD NEWS :(
In an attempt to reorganize the Forum, I accidentally deleted the old Discussion Area. What happened to all the old messages? Well....they are gone... and will not be coming back >_< (I tried to retrieve them for two hours, but there's no way to get them back)

"How can I be so stupid?", you may ask. Well, if you add all the stresses from school, work, family, social life, and the desperate need to improve the site (the Forum wasn't going that well, for those who don't know), you will probably understand how easy it is to make a small mistake and end up throwing everything away. All I can do is apologize for any inconvenience...Sorry!

Also, you may have noticed the new icon on the lower left of this page. This is a new free tracking system that will help me have a better idea of when visitors view this site (it also serves as a sort of counter). Hopefully, this new system will let me know when is the best time to make updates for the site. You can also click on the icon and check the site statistics if you are interested.

11/24/01 - As we get closer to the days of the final exams, it seems that everybody is busy and don't have time to post a message on the Forum...Well, I'm busy too, so don't expect me to update a lot of things on the site too often.

Two new videos. One of them was sent to me by Brandon Pannabecker. I tried to master it within a few weeks to make the video. However, I haven't seen the trick personally so I could be off.

I have updated the Users section frequently to add new users as soon as possible. Check to see who's spinning what these days.

11/14/01 - After a long time, I decided to do a major update! First, I decided to change the layout of the main page a little to accommodate the news better. I believe that the most important thing on a web site is the updated content; therefore, it's important to save more space for new information rather than the old, tiring information that has always been there.

I added some new videos. The videos on this last update (check for the New! icon) were digitally edited, so the quality should be better. Hopefully, this will help everybody understand each move better. Check out the Videos section to watch the new videos.

New Section: Users. This section will display a list of pen spinners around the world, along with their skills, hobbies and others. If you are interested in learning how to spin a pen but you are not necessarily good at it, this is the opportunity to find someone who lives close to you and ask him/her to teach you. There are currently only 1 user (me) on the list. Enter the Users section now and fill in the form and you will be listed on the next update.

10/19/01 - By request, I added the descriptions for the videos under the Videos section. Not having a description to guide you through the videos was really painful for the users, so I finally took the time to write the descriptions.

10/15/01 - Due to the increased number of e-mail sent to me lately regarding pen spinning, I decided that it will be a good idea to add a Forum to this site. This way people who visit this site can ask their questions to more than one people, getting more answers and different opinions. So here it is, the new section: Forum.
