Part One
David Bearclaw Abramıs eyes get misty when he talks about how urgent it is to love, honor and respect one another, all life forms and our earth. Why his eyes tear up, silently imploring us to pay attention, is because David knows the Native American Prophecies for these times. They preview the imminent end of this world cycle, and potentially the end of the human race, unless we quickly return to a path of heart.
David is of Cherokee descent. He lives in Star Valley and is a ceremonialist, sun dancer and pipe carrier. He lives by and teaches the Native American truth of "Mitakuye Oyasin", that we are all related. He is among many Native American elders who are being urged by Spirit to speak out about the prophecies. He and I have spent many hours talking. I plan to write a series of articles based on what we would like you to know from our conversations.
The Native American peoples have a tradition of prophecy which has a high degree of correlation. The most widely known are the Hopi Prophecies which are written on two ancient stone tablets. These have been carbon dated to 10,000 plus years ago, and have been continuously in the safe keeping of the Hopi people since those times. There is also an ancient diagram incised in a large sandstone rock overlooking the Hopi village of Old Oraibi, which is called "The Hopi Life Plan." The tablets and the diagram include instructions for living life on the Path of Peace, along with warnings of specific events which will take place if humanity does not choose the Path of Peace.
The teachings say that at the beginning of this world cycle, the Great Spirit gave each of the four races of people, two tablets encoded with simple instructions on how to live in alignment with the Great Spirit, and what will occur if this is violated. As previously mentioned, the two tablets for the Red People are with the Hopi; two tablets for the Black People are in safe keeping in Kenya. The two tablets belonging to the Yellow People are in Tibet, and the two given to the White People are in Switzerland.
The original intent was to live by the directives of these tablets in every generation, culminating with a time when all of the races would come together in peace. They then would combine all their knowledge and all the tablets would be joined together creating a great civilization on this earth.
Each race was also given a responsibility, a guardianship of a specific gift which is theirs to master, to share with everyone else on earth, and to keep aligned to the Path of Peace for the duration of this world cycle.
The Red People were given stewardship of the earth and instructed to learn the secrets of the earth especially in relation to food and healing from the abundance of the earth.
The Yellow People were blessed with the guardianship of the air and the wind, and charged with understanding the sky and the breath and how to take this into ourselves for health and spiritual advancement.
The Black People were given responsibility for the water element which is considered the most humble and the most powerful; they were to learn the secrets of the water and bring those to humanity.
White People were given the guardianship of and safekeeping of fire. The spark of white manıs fire is found within every aspect of technology. Fire moves. Fire catalyzes. Fire facilitates transformation.
Then each race was sent in a different direction...north, south, east, and west... each group with their specific gifts to develop for the world along with directions on their set of tablets for how to manage these in accordance with higher law. They were also told to never cast these tablets on the ground, for if any of the brothers or sisters did this, there would not only be hard times, but the life of the earth itself would be in peril.
The Hopi Prophecies foretold that many of the earthıs peoples would not remain true to the original instructions to uphold all life as sacred and part of the One Path. Therefore, it was explained that the Great Spirit would shake the earth three times, at three different periods in history when too many people had strayed into greed, self interest and disconnection from the heart.
Each great shaking of the earth was intended to get our attention to make a course correction. Each time there would be the chance to realign to honor and love all life. However, eventually, they said there would come a "Time of Purification," one last brief opportunity for each person to return to the Path of Heart, before the door would close. Then the entire earth would experience purification, and only those who chose to embrace the Way of Peace would survive to co-create the next world cycle.
According to the Hopi and other Native American prophecies, we are in the Time of Purification right now. We are approaching the third shaking of the world. David Bearclaw Abrams speaks in a very soft and gentle voice telling me about these times. And his eyes beseech us to listen.

Part Two
This is part two of a series of three articles resulting from my recent conversations with David Bearclaw Abrams about the Hopi prophecies for our times.
David is one of many Native American elders who are being urged by Spirit to share these teachings. The reason for revealing these once secret predictions is that there is always the opportunity for mankind to wake up and to embrace a path of peace, even if that is measured one person at a time. This time, we wanted to share information with you about the prophecies which have already come to pass, so that you have a sense of the simple and direct nature of the predictions and their accuracy.
The Hopi prophecies carved on two ancient stone tablets, said that in a future time the four races of man...red, black, white and yellow...could come back together to share their knowledge and create an extraordinary global civilization based on the unity of the human family. Specifically the predictions foretold that the first brothers and sisters of the other races who would come back to the Hopi, would come as turtles. They would be human beings but they would look like turtles.
Therefore six hundred years ago when the timing for that prophecy drew near, the Hopi prepared to welcome the first brothers and sisters of other races. They saw the Spanish conquistadors coming toward them wearing armor looking like turtles. The Hopi went out to greet the Spanish extending their hands in a sacred handshake which had been given to each of the four races for the time of coming together in peace.
But the Spaniards did not respond in kind. Instead they put trinkets in the hands of the Hopi. Word spread throughout the Native American peoples of North America that some of the brothers and sisters had forgotten the handshake. This indicated they had lost the knowledge of the sacredness of all things and the oneness of the human family which the handshake represented. To the Hopi elders this meant there would be hard times ahead and everyone on earth was going to suffer from this forgetting.
Prophecy also told that hundreds of years later, other brothers and sisters would be coming to America from the east. If the Native Americans were successful in teaching them and all the other newcomers from the other races that all life is sacred and that we must live as one equal family, there would be peace on earth. But if all the people did not uphold this truth before the newcomers crossed this land from east to west, the Great Spirit would grab the earth with his hand and shake it.
Sadly the countdown to the first shaking of the earth gained momentum as the white race introduced segregation among the races within this country. The first shaking of the earth would later be called World War I. Three more signs from the Hopi prophecies relating to the first shaking of the earth included the following:

- When the white man reached the west coast they would build a black ribbon stretching across the land. On the black ribbon there would be a bug moving on the land. (Henry Fordıs first Model T Ford was mass produced in 1908.)
- The Shaking of the World would become so violent that the bug would be lifted off the ground and into the air, and it would begin to move in the skies. (Airplanes were first used in wide military deployment during WWI.)
- By the end of this first shaking, these bugs would be in the air flying all over the world.
After the first shaking of the world, if the human family could come together in peace there would be no more Shakings of the world. If not, the countdown toward the Second Shaking would proceed. It was considered that this could be reversed at any time if all four races returned to the Path of Heart.
The seers predicted that there would be a meeting for peace occurring in the west of this country. The Native American elders gathered and wrote a letter to then President Woodrow Wilson asking that the Indian People be included in the newly forming League of Nations in San Francisco. The letter was not answered. The Native people were left out of the League of Nations; the circle of the races of the world was incomplete. The elders then knew there would not yet be peace on earth.
The Hopi prophecies foretold the worst misuse of the white raceıs guardianship of the fire element would occur with the development of "the gourd of ashes." The Elders would have spoken about the deadly potential of the gourd of ashes (the atomic bomb) if they had been admitted to the League of Nations in 1920.
Prophetic signs indicating the Second Shaking of the world was imminent included the following:
Behind the bugs flying in the skies would be a trail of dirt. Eventually the whole sky would become dirty from the trails of these bugs. This would cause many diseases which could become more and more complicated. A cobweb would be built around the earth and people would talk across this cobweb. Once the talking cobweb was built, the Native American sign of life would be reversed and tilted and bring death. Furthermore, the reverse sign of life (later called the Nazi swastika) would be paired with the sign of the sun, but the sun would rise in the wrong place. The symbol of the swastika and the sun symbol in the Japanese flag are both depicted in the ancient stone carving referred to as the Hopi Life Plan.
The Second Shaking of the earth was about to occur. They foretold that the gourd of ashes would fall from the air making the people like blades of grass in a prairie fire, and making the earth infertile in those regions for many years.
After the Second Great Shaking was over, the prophecy foretold the next attempt to make a world peace would occur in a special house of mica on the east coast of Turtle Island (America). All the peoples of the earth would come to this house. (Mica is a reflective mineral which splits into thin,translucent sheets.)
So when the Elders saw that the United Nations was being built out of glass looking like a house of mica, they decided they better go to the front door of the House of Mica when it opened. Since they were unable to gain admission to the League of Nations, this time the Native American elders would show up in person. A group of elders went to New York and asked to be admitted as a member nation of the UN. They wanted to address the nations of the earth because the prophecies indicated that things could still get a lot worse if humanity did not come together as one family.
The countries on the UN Security Council each had veto power. When the vote for admission of the Native Americans was taken, the United States vetoed the request .So the Elders knew the United Nations would not bring peace on earth, and there would be more confusion and separation from the Path of the Heart.
Still eager to inform humanity that it is possible to turn around the path of destruction before the Great Spirit gives the world the last and most violent shaking of this cycle of time, the Native American nations authorized certain men of the tribes to speak to the rest of the world in English about the remainder of the Prophecies on the stone tablets. This is how the we know about the once secret predictions and teachings for this cycle of time.
There are additional, specific signs which will occur soon, leading either to the Third Shaking of the world or to an intentional path of peace. David and I will bring you up to date next time. We will also offer suggestions for what every individual can do to avert or at least to cushion the events to come.

This is the final article in a series of three which were stimulated in part by recent conversations with Grandfather David Bearclaw Abrams. David lives here and is a Cherokee pipe carrier, sun dancer and ceremonialist. We both pray you take this into your hearts.
The future is not set in stone. Predictions and prophecy describe possible futures. What makes a future possibility become actual is our participation, or lack thereof. It is sometimes hard to grasp just how powerful we are in co-creating what happens here on earth.
The function of prophecy is not to instill fear. It is to remind us that our individual and collective thoughts, feelings and actions significantly determine which probability gains enough momentum to materialize.
At a certain point when the probable future is like a snowball rolling down a mountain, it has so much speed that our options for participation are more about cushioning the effect rather than reversing the direction of the snowball.
According to the Hopi Prophecies for this time, we still can wake up and live in peace as one family. However, we have now entered the "Time of Purification." This phase has two parts. The first is a last, brief chance for humanity to love, honor and respect each other and the earth.
If we accomplish this, we can still co-create a future of peace on earth in this time cycle. If not, then the door closes, and the current "probable future snowball" leading to the predicted third and most violent shaking of the earth by the Great Spirit becomes inevitable.

- You will see a time when the eagle flies its highest in the night and it will land on the moon.The NASA spacecraft named "The Eagle" landed on the moon in 1969. In fact, the words from the astronauts were,"The Eagle has landed."
- Many of the Native peoples and members of the other races will be sleeping by then. The time of the eagle on the moon is a time when some people will wake up.
- Human beings are going to find the blueprint that makes them (DNA).They are going to cut this blueprint and make new animals upon the earth (genetic engineering). They are going to think these new animals are going to help us. They will seem harmless at first, but future generations of people will suffer.
- You will see new animals and even the old animals will be brought back, the ones which have disappeared.
- Things will speed up; the people on the earth will move faster and faster. Time will speed up. People will not have time for one another. Villages will be so vast you will not be able to see from one end to the other. They will be like prairies of stone full of hollow people.
- The white man will build a house and throw it into the sky (space stations).When there are people living in the sky on a permanent basis, you will know the Great Spirit is about to grasp the earth with both hands.
- Whoever dropped the first gourd of ashes (atomic bomb), now another gourd of ashes is going to drop on them. There will be a time when the villages of stone (cities and skyscrapers) will be there in the morning, and by evening they will just be steam coming from the ground. Great rivers will boil.
- The Great Day of Purification will occur when the forces of the swastika, the Sun,(Germany and Japan of WWII) and a third force symbolized by the color red (China?) culminate in total annihilation and/or total rebirth.
- Some people who have awakened and are living in harmony with the earth, will survive the third shaking. Eventually there will be another attempt to make a circle of the human beings left on earth.
This time all the races will be invited to enter the circle. All the races will then share their wisdom and make peace on earth.
Since the handwriting is so obviously on the wall, is there anything we can do?
The answer which is stated in one way or another by every world tradition including the Hopi, is to embrace the Path of the Heart. Ultimately this means drop everything that is not about love, respect, balance and compassion. Practice gratitude. Extend compassion to yourself and others. Practice random acts of kindness. Share. Live simply with no more no less than necessary. We have come to the end of the rope playing out a polarized, greedy, abusive, dishonoring script. We either live together as family, or the human species becomes extinct. Every person who embraces the higher path of heart will advance their own spiritual evolution and help cushion, if not alter the events to come.
According to the Hopi tradition, the first cycle of time was the cycle of spirit, the second of the mineral, the third of the plant, the fourth (now) of the animal. The next is the cycle of the human being. What is foretold is that the highest and greatest powers that we have in our blueprint will be released to us from Spirit in the fifth cycle.
It is incumbent upon us to see that we are here to fulfill our highest destiny.
