DesertCracks and DesertPrisn

DesertCracks is an edited versions of the original Observer Madness Lovely Space.
What is the difference between the two? DesertCracks is easier because of two apparent reasons: 1st being the observers move slower. Its very hard to notice. To see it, you must play DesertCracks and then play the original right afterwards, you'll notice how much easier it is, and it is quite alot. 2nd reason is the observers don't range you as much. That could be because of the fact that they move slower therefore you can escape unharmed from situations you would die on the original, or just because the range triggers were edited, I'm not sure which, but it doesn't really matter.

Prisn is another edited version. It was edited from the original Lovely Space, and later on also edited into Zzyzzyxx's ScoreBoard version (I consider the original SB version entirely legit). I believe its the same as DesertCracks, maybe some difference in range, some people say its even easier than DesertCracks, either way its way easier than the original Space. As for people thinking it has less observers, I'm not sure about that, I took some screenshots of each version, you can decide for yourself.

Basicly, I don't think those are bad versions, making a very hard game easier is opens it for more people to be able to play and enjoy without putting so much time into it (as some of us did with the original version ^.^), heck it could have been a good thing, maybe even more fun, and anyway some people claim it to be only slightly easier... However! in this case it *is bad, because those versions are not marked as different! They were inserted into the original map, no additional credits or notes were added, filename renamed a 100 times, and people think that they are playing the original map since its almost impossible to notice. That also makes me wonder if the (unknown) person who created it, might have done it for more selfish reasons than public good.

I only learned about this issue recently, and I consider it a real shame. This creates a double standard. Its very hard to tell between versions while watching replays, and considering we have over 7 hours of Obs replays listed, I won't be checking each and every one... I know many of them were played in those versions, not thats its a bad thing, but making people think that a Carriers replay in those versions is the same as a Carriers replay on the original version, would be wrong, because make no mistake, the difference in difficuly is there, no matter how big it is, it should be tagged as different version replay, just like I tag the SB replays, and with Desert/Prisn I can't.

Its not very hard for you to see for yourself when you watch a replay, when you get so close to an Obs and don't die, you think to yourself 'wow how did he do that? looked like range to me'... lucky glitches can happend in original version as well, but not that often. Example of 100% original version replay is the 1st Asia Carriers replay, look how much they get ranged, look at those gosu dodge moves, thats original version :-) Anyway, when you watch replays, now that you know about this, you can be the judge for yourself.
