Basic Tactics

Basic tactics are tactics that use only a couple of cards, usualy useful for short amounts of time.
In other words, good basic combinations that you probably use all the time.

Key Element: Constant use of the curse spell
Cards: Night Elf, Curse
Sacrifice: Earth and Death Mana
Use: Place the Night elf, sacrificing your earth but getting 3 death every turn, keep cursing for X turns while saving all your other powers.

   sword5.gif - 0 Bytes   Traitor From Within
Key Element: Making your opponent's creatures turn against him
Cards: Ocean Master + Enemy Sea Sprite / Hypnosis + Enemy Elementals
Sacrifice: Water (Ocean Master) / Air (Hypnosis)
Use: Well known basic tactics, making your enemy's creatures trun against him. When yuor opponent placed the Sea Sprite creature all you have to do is keep your water level above his own, making the Sea Sprite damage him 2 life per turn. you can make sure your water level will rise above his by placing the Ocean Master creature, and try to keep his Sea Sprite alive for as long as possible by placing some sort of wall against it.
When your opponent has one or two of the elementals creatures, they can become quite strong (maybe even stronger with the Warlord), in which case the Hypnosis spell can be a fatal blow.

Leather_shield.jpg - 0 Bytes   Fall of the Phoenix
Key Element: Eliminate the Phoenix when enemy fire is already 10
Cards: Acid Rain / Curse or Ghost
Sacrifice: Water / Possible Creatures (Acid Rain) / Death
Use: You place a strong creature (say a Vampire or an Elemental), and all of a sudden your opponent does the thing you hate the most, He summons the Phoenix all confident with his invincibility having 10 fire power, well think again! you shall die right now. If the creature he placed the Phoenix against is a really strong elemental, Ghost might be sufficient, making your opponent have only 9 fire and damaging the phoenix enough to kill it in one turn, but thats unlikely. Therefor the Curse is more useful in this case, casting the Curse 2 turns one after another, and killing the Phoenix while enemy is still on 9 fire. But the most useful of them all would be the Acid Rain, casing 15 damage to all creaures (and possibly losing some of your own)+ the curse effect of taking back your opponent's fire to 9. Of course if you have the Death Keeper or the Wall of Souls before casting the Acid Rain, then you gain even more. Contributed by Blacku Mamba

   sword5.gif - 0 Bytes   Mortal Weakness
Key Element: Using the Phoenix's Rebirth
Cards: Phoenix, Acid Rain / Armageddon / Drain Souls
Sacrifice: Water / Fire / Death
Use: Place the Phoenix once you have 10 fire. Use any spell that hurt/kills all creatures in game, Phoenix wont die of course. Armageddon is best used last since your Phoenix will become mortal once again, although he will survive the actual Armageddon impact. Basic and useful. Contributed by Shadow
