Advanced Tactics

Advanced tactics are those that have a long term effect, that see more than just one move ahead or use more than just one or two cards... alot of times those are strategies that require some luck as well :)

   Leather_shield.jpg - 0 Bytes sword5.gif - 0 Bytes   Advanced Curse Factory
Key Element: Constant use of the curse spell
Cards: Night Elf, Ocean Master, Curse
Sacrifice: Earth and Death Mana
Use: First place a the Ocean Master, then the Night Elf, losing 1 earth and getting 3 death and 2 water every turn, using the Curse spell every turn for X turns. Note that while sacrificing your Earth and Death mana, you are saving all your other mana. Until your Night Elf dies you should have the upper hand mana-wise due to saving alot of Fire/Water/Air and holding back your opponent's mana. (Placing the Night Elf behind an enemy wall is ideal). This is both an offensive and defensive strategy, hopefuly you attack with your Ocean Master or any other medium creature and do damage while cursing, but also defensive due to curse not doing alot of damage, and you saving alot of mana while getting ready to strike even harder.

Key Element: Use high-level spell in the very beginning
Cards: Fire Ritual, Phoenix, Armageddon
Sacrifice: Fire and Air, Receive some damage
Use: First thing you do is the Fire Ritual, let him place any card he wants, do Fire Ritual again, now place the Phoenix, and the next turn cast Armageddon, destroying all your opponent's weak creatures he put until now, causing alot of damage, and gaining the upper hand with the phoenix. You do however receive some damage while casting Fire Ritual twice without blocking any damage, also if your opponent uses a medium level creature that wont die with armageddon, you put the phoenix against him, and with Armageddon its preety much a 100% kill. You gain the upper hand both with mana and remaining life (don't forget Fire Ritual also decreased enemy water), its also possible to add the Death factor to this tactic, like the Wall of Souls or the Death Keeper, and gain death after Armageddon, but the whole point is doing it all on the very beginning, rushing, and to gain a big advantage.    Leather_shield.jpg - 0 Bytes sword5.gif - 0 Bytes   Souls Counter
Key Element: Dont let your opponent get away with Drain Souls
Cards: Fire Ritual, Phoenix, Enemy: Drain Souls
Sacrifice: Air Mana
Use: Its not hard to see ethe Drain Souls coming, you see your opponent doesnt place any strong creatures, he just blocks your strong creatures with weak low level ones. you cant delay his spell forever, even if you have Curse, he'll get his Drain Souls soon enough. so you try to make the best of it. Starting with a few Fire Rituals, as much as needed, to get 10 fire mana (also while opponent waits for his 12 death and keeps blocking with weak creatures, he might get some damage indeed) Then place your Phoenix. the one creature that can outlive the Drain Souls if you have 10 fire. he Drain Souls, and you get the upper hand in mana and in creatures on board. (while you used your Fire Ritual, he lost alot of water mana). Contributed by Mandrake

   Leather_shield.jpg - 0 Bytes sword5.gif - 0 Bytes   Astral Decay
Key Element: Weaken opponent and paralize him with no mana
Cards: Astral guard, Elf hermit, Night Elf and Curse
Sacrifice: Water and Death mana, and/or Earth mana
Use: Save your water mana until it reaches 12 then cast the Astral Guard, preferably next to a wall or a very weak creature (make sure the opponent already has low mana (5 or lower), and has not put out a mind master). Once in place try to keep him safe because you are going to need him for a while. To do this you may summon an Elf Guard. Then keep casting Curse until he is too weak to heal or attack (his/her levels should be at 3 or lower). Once he is paralyzed and can do nothing then you are free to demolish him. To generate Curse you may have to also sacrifice Earth Mana and summon a Night Elf which should also be protected. Contributed by Archon
