Introduction

We are going to learn about the three bears of Alaska. The three bears are; black bear, brown bear, and polar bear. We will be looking at where they live, what they eat, and what they look like. We will also discuss what to do when you meet up with a bear.

Process

  1. Form a team of two.
  2. The first screen you will see is the resource page. You will click on the web address to access information about the three bears of Alaska.
  3. You will explore the Internet to find out information about the three bears of Alaska. You may can click on any of the headings at the top of the page. When you are finished with the section, just click on the heading. It will take you to the top of the page.
  4. Leave this site and go to Paints to draw a picture of your favorite bear.
  5. Make sure that you include what the bear likes to eat.
  6. You will present your picture to the class, so you will need to know the name of the bear, what the bear likes to eat, and where the bear lives.


Evaluation

 

Describe to the learners how their performance will be evaluated. You can link to a separate rubric document from here, or you could briefly summarize your criteria on this page. Also specify whether there will be a common grade for group work vs. individual grades. Make sure the evaluation of your students evaluates the accomplishment of the objectives listed in the lesson.
