Introduction

This is a WebQuest that explores space. This WebQuest was designed for fourth grade. There is information on the Earth, moon, sun, stars, constellation and gravity. Each page has the information that will be on the evaluation test at the end of the unit. The students will explore each page. There are different web sites for the student to access to gain more information on space.

Process

1. Student will access the page on the Earth. Read the paragraphs. Click on the address and explore the web site for more information.

2. Student will access the page on the moon. Read the paragraphs. Click on the address and explore the web site for more information.

3. Student will access the page on the sun. Read the paragraphs. Click on the address and explore the web site for more information.

4. Student will access the page on the stars. Read the paragraphs. Click on the address and explore the web site for more information.

5. Student will access the page on the constellations. Read the paragraphs. Click on the address and explore the web site for more information.

6. Student will access the page on gravity. Read the paragraphs. Click on the address and explore the web site for more information.

Evaluation

1.  The students will take a pretest to establish a baseline of knowledge.

2. The students will read the information on each page and discuss with one another the information.

3. The students will answer questions related to the information on each page.

4. The students will take a post test to show their mastery of the content.

5. The students will present a project. The title of the project is "What I Learned About Space." There needs to be five different things that they learned about space in their project. The students can:  make a poster, write a story, write a poem, or dramatic performances.
